Did you know why I still watch American Idol? Is it because I like to sing? Is it because I like to watch the whole drama? Or Is it because the hot chick? The answer is no!Its all because American Idol can bring traffic to my blog! What? Yes you read that right!
We have to admit it, like it or not, even tough the effect is not as big as it first launch, the American Idol is still attract so many audience. We can change this attraction to be a potential visitor to our blog. How we do it?
I will tell you what I do to explain it. First, I always watch American Idol right from the beginning. I watch carefully each and every contestant when it stills a hundred thousand contestants. I watch and I write down their name that happen to be high lighted by the television program.
I made a post on my blog immediately for that contestant (I even make them a spate blog for the one who I think will be the winner. After that I build a link building with their name for the keyword. I update the post according to what their last activity and at the same time I eliminate the contestant who is not passing the next round.
Since I made the post when their not famous yet, my competition in search engine is fool-proof. Because no body seems care to make a post for them. When their popularity when up, the user who search their name as keyword in search engine are also growing significantly. And you have to remember I made the post, the link building, keyword stuffing first before anybody else. No wonder if I have a high rank in SERP.
The visitors are growing fantastically when it came to 24 contestants round. At this point I usually only choose one or two contestant to work on. And when my ace contestant becoming an American Idol and I manage to stay on top 10 SERP the number of visitor are went crazy. Hopefully the American Idol winner are success on his record so he can be the real superstar and I still hang on the first page result on search engine.
To bad on the previous American Idol, I choose the wrong contestant to work on my blog. She (kristy lee cook) finish badly on the contest. Even so, I still exeperienced the visitor flood until she came down from the contest.
The important thing is not only about American Idol, but how we survive the competition these day. How we can catch the next trend! And it can be applied for others niche with a different tools.
